The block of ads on the top of my home page are randomly selected by Google. They help pay the operating expenses of this site, and every time you click on one of those links, you help defray the cost of keeping this weblog open.
That said, I have no control over what Google places in those ads - it’s all handled by a robot that scans posts for certain words and plugs in ads that it thinks correspond.
Discussions of the Green Bay Packers results in ticket broker ads. Content about gasoline prices attract ads about running your car on water.
I have no idea where the diet ads come from.
