Imagine a real-life Brigadoon - the legendary town that appears once a year but is frozen in time. There is such a town and it’s in Wisconsin. On the first Sunday of June every year, Sharon, Wisconsin awakens, a town in the days of Model A Fords, gangsters, flappers and speakeasies, knickerbockers and boop-oop-be-doop.
The streets are closed off to all motor vehicles except Model A Fords and a couple hundred antique Fords line the streets. Vendors sell old car parts and who knows what else, residents wear era clothing and there’s fun and frivolity for everyone!
This year, the show will be held on Sunday, June 7 from 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM. You can get an old flyer right here, http://jrmanning.com/uploads/2006/05/Sharon06.web.pdf or call the sponsor of the show, the Sharon Main Street Association at 262-736-6246.
